My wife introduced me to this ’trustworthy agent' she’s known for a couple years. I have worked with a lot of realtors over the years and Paul is at the top of the list. What I like most about Paul is a few things; 1) he is NOT pushy, I am in sales and I HATE when realtors or for that matter anybody tries to be a pushy 'used cars salesman' with me. We met Paul at a showing where he was subbing for another realtor. Seeing his Spartan license plate in Skokie, IL made our Big Ten connection a point of interest for me. Really great Realtors are difficult to find and if you don't have a lot of experience buying homes you do not know how a really good Realtor is different from all the rest. Here is a clue, does the person you use show you all their own listing first ignoring what you told them you were interested in finding? Do they tell you that every home is the perfect home for you? And did they show you really low end homes before taking you to the one they really wanted you to like? That's just the beginning of a short list of knowing right away whether you might have a good Realtor. Also, if you have one of these, tell them thanks but no thanks and get someone else. Paul came highly recommended to me from a family member, so I knew I was in good hands before we even met. This was my very first experience looking for an apartment and moving out my own, so I needed someone who could be my advocate. His work was cut out for him. Being an amateur wasn't my only problem. My financial background wasn't a simple one. Current finances were limited. And to further complicate things, I needed to find a place as soon as possible, because the commute to my new job was two and a half hours each way.
