Baker House (and carriage house) and the Lewis Burleigh House. The Village of Wilmette offers excellent public transportation for residents. The Village is served by Pace Bus Service, CTA rapid transit bus service, and the Metra train service to downtown. And if you’re driving by car, the Eden Expressway (I-94) is easily accessible to reach the suburbs, downtown Chicago, or O’Hare Airport. Wilmette hosts a French Market every Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm beginning in May through October. The Wilmette French Market is held in the Village Center located east of the Wilmette Metra station.
